Jane Deasy

Jane Deasy is an Irish artist and researcher pursuing a PhD at the University of Huddersfield as part of the Amplification Project.
She graduated from Trinity College Dublin with a B.A. in Music and Drama and Theatre Studies and an M. Phil in Music Composition after which she went on to study at the Glasgow School of Art earning an M. Des in Sound for Moving Image where she concentrated her focus in Sound Studies. Her key areas of work and research focus on the body and amplification in cyberfeminist sonic art and performance.
Her artistic practice spans DIY and experimental music practice, digital and analogue instrument design, multimedia, and performance.
